PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoying the finished product

Our little masterpieces:-)

The chefs

My kids LOVE to make pizza! We just have whole wheat dough, pizza sauce, mozzarella, and a variety of toppings. They just love to do this, and it is a fun way to let them participate in cooking.
In other news I kind of had forgotten about an application I had filled out for some assistance with our health insurance. Well Praise God today we got the answer that it had been approved! I am just so thankful. It never ceases to amaze me how perfect God's timing truly is:-)
Sammy woke up with a rash today. Not quite sure if this is related to the antibiotics he just finished or not, I guess we will see tomorrow....

Sick AGAIN

Man I feel like we can't get a break lately with these two kids. Brought them both to the docter yesterday, as they both have been feeling pretty under the weather. Sam really hasn't felt well since wednesday but was acting ok enough that I thought that the IVIG would really perk him up and get him over whatever he is fighting. But unfortunately it is not. He has had a low grade temp until last night and is now running a little bit low. He has a cough, runny nose, and NO energy, even slept almost 15 hours last night!!! I placed a call to his primary today (she was off yesterday so we saw someone else) and am waiting for a call back.
Sophia didn't really start acting sick until sunday night, but since he was sick I figured whatever he has she did too so I brought them both. Low and behold Sophia has an ear infection, so that explains her irritability and fever. But then last night she got a rash, I called the doctor and he wasn't overly concerned about it so we are just going to keep on going here. And then she also started to vomit. I am praying that I just don't get puked on today, that essentially is my goal for the day.
It's kind of weird, Sophia certainly has more symptoms of being sick, but Sam is the one that is really scaring me. He just has NO energy and now with the lower temps I am really anxious about him. So please just keep all of us in your prayers as we muddle through whatever these crazy illnesses are...
And to top it off, Sam is supposed to have his capsule endoscopy on thursday, and Sophia's birthday is supposed to be this weekend. Ugghhh, we will just do the best we can.

Bath time

Hair cut

I took Sammy to get a hair cut today. He was SSSSSOOO excited about this. It is amazing to hear the mind of a child and how excited they get about random things. It is a reminder to never take things for granted.
I worked last night and had quite the busy night, I came home and got to sleep for about two hours, hoping that maybe I would get to lay down again before work tonight. But no such luck. Oh well, at least tomorrow night I will get to sleep. Sleeplessness is a miserable way to live...
After dinner I was giving hte kids a bath and Sam got one of his weird rashes with scattered hives. It was instantanious. Perfectly fine and then splotchy everywhere. He started breathing quickly and getting itchy. The scary thing about this is who knows what it is caused from. There was no new soap, no new tub cleaner, NoTHING NEW!!!! I have heard that so many with the Immune system issues do this and that benadryl is a normal med for these kids, but I sure would like to know what causes it.

Allergy testing TAKE 3

Today was our third day of testing for Sam. It went well. Today we found a good amount of foods that he WASN'T allergic too. The two prior days the majority of stuff they tested him for he was allergic to. So now today we found a bunch of veggies he can have. We did however determine that he has quite a strong allergy to baker's yeast, and goat milk. And actually after he got the trial of the baker's yeast he instantly got a temperature (not sure how high), his cheeks became bright red, he got nasal congested and kept clearing his throat and got tired/fussy. I wonder if his fevers in the past were related to say eating bread or something? It is interesting to think how different things affect people. I believe it is going to be quite difficult to develop a totally new diet for him, but if it helps him to feel well and be healthy then it is totally worth it.
Tomorrow is transfusion day, so please say some prayers that they get the IV in on the first try. Sam appears to be having some difficulty urinating, so I am wondering if he has a urinary tract infection. Please say some prayers that he won't have any pain and that there is nothing going on with his bladder
