Papa

My friend Shannon came over with her little guy Tristan. The kiddos got to play for a while. Poor Sammy isn't feeling very well and was very sad that Sophia and Tristan didn't really want to play with him. Poor little guy was very sad. Sophia and Tristan have know each other since they were infants (probably like two or three months old). They get along really well and have a lot of fun.

My wonderful father in law blessed us again with his assistance and a little playtime with the kiddos. Matt is trying to finish up the electrical in time for the insulation guys next week, so his dad graciously came over to help.
Sam is getting sicker again:-( I placed a call to his primary today to see if she had any thoughts of anything that I could do to help this respiratory thing get better. She is going to be checking with his hematologist to see if we can try some type of medication to at least thin his secretions. Praying that we can, and that this doesn't turn into a full blown sinus infection. Praying also that this doesn't turn into increased apnea and respiratory distress. I honestly don't know that I could handle another week like last week....thankfully I know that I don't really have to, but God can....but still praying that we don't have to cross that bridge again.

Last weekend

Last weekend was initially going to be rebuild the chimney day, but due to some concerns regarding this the plan was changed and it turned out to be an electrical day. Thankfully we had three of our cousins and Matt's dad Vaughn to help out. They got a lot accomplished and we are so thankful for their help. My cousin Tim came up for the day as well. The kids and I also got visit and hang out with him which was nice. Thanks Joel, Andrew, Vaughn and Tim, we appreciate your help very much!!!

So behind...

I am exhausted but haven't updated recently (will give you the short version now) and explain more later. We had all kinds of snags and hoops to jump through to get to the new house but we are in and now just trying to get it together.
Sam has been struggling the last few days. He has diarrhea, and has been running a fever intermittenly since yesterday. He has been very sleepy and fussy. This isn't how Sophia presented so I am not sure if these illnesses are related. Spoke with MD on thursday but will call tomorrow if he isn't doing better.
Sophia is still back and forth, she seemed really good today, and ate really well. She also has had intermittent fevers and loose stools. Thankfully the hepatitis screening all came back negative, so it wasn't that. The doctor is thinking that A) It was a really nasty virus that is really difficult to get rid of
OR B) her immune system doesn't function properly and that that is why she has gotten so sick... My thoughts about this are two fold: one if it is such a nasty virus I would expect Sammy to have gotten it (praising God that He didn't) or two that if her immune system is not functioning optimally that she would have been sicker at younger ages as Sammy was. So I guess we just continue to wait this out... IN OUR NEW HOUSE!!!

It has continued to be a challenging weekend. Sophia has continued to exhibit some strange symptoms with very odd and concerning lab work. She may also be bleeding when she stools. We will check that tomorrow. Our wonderful doctor called a few times over the weekend to check on our little princess. What a blessing she is.
I have come to the realization over this weekend (like a lightbulb moment:-)!!) that Sammy has been healthy all week even with Sophia being ill. All of of sudden today he is acting a little off, but I am praying that it is a fluke. It has always been as soon as someone else gets sick that Sam gets sick. Praising God that this week he has remained healthy, and praying that tomorrow when he wakes up he is still healthy.
And another tremendous blessing, our mortgage broker kind of screwed up with our paperwork, so we weren't going to be able to close on the new house on friday which means that we would technically not have a place to live after friday (my mom was going to let us stay if we needed). But thankfully the man who owns the house currently is going to allow us to stay there until we close!!! Thank you God!!!
Here's a pic of our new house and the current house. So long itty bitty house, and hello big house:-) We are so blessed!

Tubby Time

My kids love their tummy time! Guess what we got an offer on our house!!! I am so excited but now the craziness of trying to pack with two toddlers starts! Say some prayers that all goes through easily. And if you live around here and want to have two VERY BUSY kiddos over for a visit so I can pack, PLEASE let me know:-)

SICK (Edited)

UPDATE: Sam is now running a fever and acting ill, not usually a complainer but now he is a little fussy. Looks like we will be taking a trip to the doc tomorrow. I am just anxious because next tuesday a week from today is supposed to be the last IVIG for Sam. If this illness turns into anything then they probably won't stop the treatment. And his immunologist said he would hold off another YEAR if we don't do it now. It is scary as Sam has done so amazingly well with the IVIG, he has only been on antibiotics once in the last year and a half. He often still has fevers, rashes, GI upset etc, but not all together. The fevers are usually non-related to any other symptom. This sickness has fever, cough, lethargy, fussiness, etc. Please pray for my little guy. That the right decision will be made about the IVIG and that I can handle whatever that decision is.

We are surviving here on the homefront. Sophia is no longer running a fever, but is now instead having long harsh bouts of coughing which has led to vomiting. Sam is also having these couging epidodes
Our house is starting to show more frequently (3x in the last week) so please pray that we can sell and move on.

Sophia

My baby girl continues to be sick. The doctor called this morning to check on her. How nice is that? We are so blessed to have such wonderful doctors for ourselves as well as our children. Sophia continues to run a temperature even with tylenol and motrin. She got up to 103.6 today. This was the second day of antibiotics and so the diarrhea has gotten worse. She is refusing the bottle for the most part, which means pedialyte isn't really helpful at the moment. If anyone has any ideas on how to get her to drink from soemthing besides me that would be good.
In other news we finally got an appointment with that specialist that does allergies and all natural stuff, he became a pediatrician and then went on to study enviromental medicine, allergies and now even easter medicine. We are praying that he will be able to figure out what is the root cause of everythin with Sammy and that we can get him completely healthy. Wouldn't it be something if it was just some weird allergy or he needed a supplement or something? Just pray for his wisdom please.
And five years ago yesterday we bought this house. And yesterday we also put it back on the market, weird how that happened. We are praying that God provides a buyer and also that we find a house that is more suited to our needs. Please join us in prayer.

Finally Home!!!

We are home!!! I am so absolutely thrilled. It has been a crazy ride through this pregnancy and now to bring Samuel home is a dream come true. Thank you God for this miraculous little boy. He is 4lb 6oz today. Eating every 1 and 1/2 hours around the clock, which is quite draining but it is wonderful to be up with him and know that I am the provider of his nourishment. I am what he needs. We are also adding the breast milk fortifier to my milk for the extra calories which will hopefully fatten him up quickly.
