Modified barium swallow

Today we go for Sophia's modified barium swallow. I am kind of dreading it as I don't think she will do well. We shall see. She has been so irritable and fussy these last few days. I brought her in to see the doctor yesterday, as she had been running a temp all weekend and has had the loose stools for ten days now. The doctor said she looked a tiny bit dehydrated, that her throat was red, and that her stomach was certainly gurgling a lot. He contemplated antibiotics butwe both felt like since this could be viral lets not. I don't want her on any antibiotics if I can help it as she has already been allergic to two of them. She has lost a few ounces, but again nothing huge. So we wait it out. The doctor is going to call us today to see how she is doing.

Modified barium swallow

Well Sophia's barium swallow is scheduled for next tuesday. I am praying that all goes well. It would be nice if this test would tell us why she won't eat. But is that like praying for something to be wrong? I don't know. She is now chewing the food and then spitting it out. I just want her to eat like a normal child and start growing. It is crazy to have her in 6/9month clothes when she is almost fourteen months old. I have all these beautiful clothes that people have given me (thanks Kerry, Tracy and Denise) and she needs to GROW to wear them.
She is stooling a ton, like 5-6 times a day and it is watery and green. I called her GI doctor today as I feel like it is her new med, or the pediasure. And the only thing he said was that he thinks it is gastroenteritis and to take her to the pediatrician. Uuuggghhh!!! Annoying, I try not to be, but it is hard. So I guess tomorrow we will be going to see her primary.
Sam is still feeling a little funky. I can't quite put my finger on it, but is fussy and sleeping extra, and eating horribly. He has continued to complain that he is so sick. He had a temp yesterday to 100.7, which is no big deal in other kids, but who knows what it means with Sam. Please pray for him.

Weight

We saw the doctor and Sophia has hit 18lbs again! I am so thankful. The doctor was less than pleased with the fact that we can't get a barium swallow until the middle of june, so she is appealing to get it done sooner. WE should hear by monday at the lastest so please keep that in your prayers. She also had the swallow specialist come, who truly believes that it is more of some type of GI problem versus a structural problem in her mouth. She said it could possibly be low tone but she doesn't believe that that is the main issue. She recommends pushing for more testing until we figure out what is causing her to have such a poor appetite.
In other CRAZY news we got a bill today for one of her last appointments at Children's Hospital. It was over $900!!! Isn't that crazy? They ended up billing the wrong insurance so we are all set, but I had NO IDEA how expensive each appointment was! Thank goodness for insurance!
Sammy is doing ok. He continues to complain off and on. He is sleeping a little more than normal, eating a little less than normal, and is a little fussier than normal. This whole waiting game with the IVIG is so hard. I feel like we are waiting for the black cloud to come over us. Just waiting for him to get sick, which is a terrible place to be in. Sometimes I get nervous enough to where I wish we could just start the IVIG again. I just don't want to see him get sick. I don't want to see him suffer. I want to test his levels already. I want to know BEFORE he gets sick so ne doesn't have to get sick
I went for a walk with my friend Bethany and she put her sunglasses on Sophia, isn't this cute?
